Refund & Return Policy

For retail product purchases — clear, fair, and fully compliant with New York State law

We stand behind every product we carry. If something isn't right, we want to make it right. This policy covers all retail product purchases made in-salon and through our online store at onursalon.com. For service-related concerns, please see our Booking & Cancellation Policy.
01 — Return Window

We accept returns on eligible retail products within 14 days of the purchase date — whether purchased in-salon or online.

In compliance with New York General Business Law §218-a, this policy is clearly posted at our salon and on our website. If you purchased a product and no return policy was communicated at the time of sale, New York State law entitles you to a return within 30 days with proof of purchase.

03 — How to Initiate a Return
  1. Contact us first. Email info@onursalon.com with your order number, the product(s) you wish to return, and the reason. We will respond within 2 business days.
  2. Receive authorization. Do not ship items back without first receiving a return authorization from us. Unauthorized returns may be refused.
  3. Package the item. Include the original receipt or order confirmation and the product in its original packaging where possible.
  4. Ship or bring it in. For online purchases, we will provide return shipping instructions. For in-salon purchases, you may bring the item directly to the salon.
  5. Receive your refund or exchange. Once we receive and inspect the item, we will process your refund or exchange within 5 business days.
04 — Refund Methods

In accordance with New York State law, refunds will be issued in the following forms:

  • Online purchases: Refunds are issued to the original payment method (credit/debit card). Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
  • In-salon purchases (paid by card): Refunded to the original card, typically within 3–5 business days.
  • In-salon purchases (paid by cash): Refunded in cash at the time of return, or as store credit at your preference.
  • Exchange: We are happy to exchange eligible products for another product of equal or greater value (you pay the difference).
  • Store credit: Available as an alternative to a monetary refund, valid toward any future in-salon or online purchase.
05 — Return Shipping

For online purchases:

  • If the return is due to our error (wrong item sent, defective product), we will cover return shipping costs in full.
  • If you are returning for other reasons (e.g., change of mind on an eligible item), return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
  • We recommend using a tracked shipping method, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

06 — Defective or Damaged Products

If your product arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 30 days of receipt with photos of the damage. We will either replace the product or issue a full refund, including any shipping costs. We take product quality seriously and appreciate your feedback, as it helps us maintain our standards.

07 — In-Store vs. Online Purchases

Products purchased in-salon are subject to the same 14-day return window. Please bring your original receipt and the product to the salon during our business hours. You are not required to ship items if they were purchased in-person.
